"Pulsating, sparse & Industrial affine noise & sound scapes" - Hardwax

This record is inspired by Daniela de Paulis art/science installation Optiks. Optiks involves a group of amateur astronomers around the world collaborating in real time to beam images (converted to radio waves) into space and bounce them o the moon. The Moon's surface reflects the radio signals and scatters them all around Space. Only a small percentage of the original signal is reflected back on Earth and received by various radio telescopes, where it is converted back into the original image.

The 'interference' showing in the Moon reflected image that forms the cover of this album, is caused by the great distance travelled by the radio signals to the Moon and back and by the poor reflective qualities of the Moon's surface.

No traditional instruments, synthesisers, or drum machines have been used in this recording. All sounds were created from interference, noise, feedback, and the internal resonances of found objects and physical spaces.
